What customers say?

“ There are a lot of rip-offs in the buildings around here, but everything I ate at this restaurant was delicious. ”

“ This izakaya is located in the semi-basement of the stairs connecting Sennichimae Street and Namba Walk. I've stopped by here for lunch a few times, and it's so filling that it leaves you full. Next time, I think I'll try ordering a smaller portion of rice (even though the rice is delicious!). ”

“ It's just a 2-3 minute walk from Namba Station on the subway. Walk south towards Namba Walk Nihonbashi and you'll find it just up the stairs next to the cafe. The restaurant is very spacious and has a lovely Showa-era retro atmosphere, making it the ultimate izakaya. It's the kind of izakaya you'd expect to see in a TV drama. Menus are posted everywhere, which gives it an exciting feel. The interior is calming with warm lighting and carved wood. The nostalgic background music adds to the atmosphere. The staff were all lively, kind, polite, and pleasant, making for a very enjoyable meal. I've visited for lunch twice, and everything is homemade, with no shortcuts taken. The tartar sauce drizzled generously on the Nanban-style fried shrimp is homemade. It's light and pairs perfectly with the Nanban and fried shrimp, making it incredibly delicious! The menu includes a Japanese-style omelet in dashi broth with green onions, a homemade hamburger steak, and spaghetti with a curry-flavored side dish. Hats off to you. In this Namba location, in a spacious seating area, and enjoying food of this quality, it's an excellent value for money. Next time, I'd like to come back in the evening to enjoy the menu, from classics to seasonal dishes, and the wide selection of alcoholic drinks. Thank you for the meal. ”

“ It was around 2pm on the 2nd of January. The Sennichimae area was crowded with foreigners, but this restaurant, located halfway up the narrow staircase connecting Namba Walk to the ground floor, was empty. It felt like a great hidden gem. I had the Chicken Nanban set meal. A large chicken nanban, omelette, and miso soup for 900 yen (tax included) was excellent value for money. The tender chicken nanban and freshly made omelette were delicious. The miso soup was also packed with plenty of ingredients and warmed me up. ”

“ Sometimes izakayas offer a really good deal on lunch. One such spot is this one. It's located right next to Namba Station, halfway up the stairs leading from Namba Walk to the street. I had never even heard of this izakaya before. To get there from the street, walk along Sennichimae Street and enter the basement from a building near the entrance to Shinsaibashisuji Shopping Street. First-time visitors might get a little lost. Lunch at this izakaya is a great deal at just 900 yen. It's a satisfying meal with a filling portion. They have a variety of menu items: - Colorful Set Meal (enjoy nine side dishes) - Recommended Set Meal (a lunch that changes daily) - Combination Set Meal (hamburger steak and fried white fish) - Negitoro Donburi Set Meal (includes tempura and rolled omelet!) - Chicken Nanban Set Meal (includes a Japanese-style omelet) This time, I chose my favorite, Chicken Nanban! Of course, it was slathered in tartar sauce, and the portion was quite large and filling (though it seems like it might be high in calories). The chicken nanban was my favorite type, crispy on the outside. The Japanese-style oval omelet was also quite tasty. Free rice refills were also available, which is great for guys. I think this is a hidden gem, so if you're interested, definitely give it a try. ”

“ This is an izakaya located in the semi-basement of Namba Walk. This was my first visit for lunch. I had the Colorful Set Meal. It was a great value set meal with small portions of nine side dishes, including sashimi, fried chicken, and tempura. The price was 900 yen including tax. I also enjoyed the bottled beer, which was Suntory. Tax was not included. ”

“ Namba Hyakuban is an izakaya restaurant located in a prime location, just off the Namba Walk underground shopping mall. Their lunchtime Manpuku Set Meal is a real bargain. It's so delicious and filling in this prime location. And you can get change back from 1,000 yen! ◼Negitoro Donburi Set Meal In addition to the bowl, it also comes with a rolled omelet, freshly fried tempura, miso soup, and pickles—all for just 900 yen. It's not just cheap. The negitoro is fatty and delicious. The omelet and tempura aren't pre-made, but are served warm. ”

“ I booked a course meal! It's close to the station, and each dish is delicious and the portions are generous, so I'm very satisfied! They also have an extensive all-you-can-drink menu! Private rooms can also be reserved for large groups. ”
